This morning I was laying in bed with Curren, listening to him babble. "Dadadadada....bababab.....gooowwah." Scott came in and the following conversation ensued:
Me: You missed it, Curren was asking for you.
Scott: Really?
Me: Well, he was saying "dadadada" like he usually does. But it was real cute.
Scott: Were you asking for me Curren? I'm Dada. Say "Dada."
Curren: (Pause) Dada.
It was awesome!!!! Not "dadadada." Just "dada." We're so proud. Surely this is a record at only 6.5 months, right? :)
Now, I try not to compare my kids, but it's inevitable. So, like any good parent, I looked in Abbey's baby book to see when she started talking. According to my records, she said "Mama" at 7.5 months....with a notation that she only said it when she was mad. Hah! Some things never change!
