Abbey's Birthday Party

As you can see, the bounce house was HUGE! If someone had showed me this picture ten years ago and told me that I would willingly pay to have one of these in my yard, I would have shot them on the spot. It was so worth it though, as the kids (ok, and the adults) had a great time in it.

They delivered the house around 11am and the party didn't begin until 4pm, so Abbey and Sienna had plenty of bounce time to themselves. (Although I think we parents may have scared poor Sienna a bit with our crazy high bouncing. Those kids were flying around like pin balls!) Apparently the fun was just too much to resist, b/c even Leroy Brown got in on the act...and that was after we tranquilized him!

The highlight of the party was probably when Scott unplugged the bounce house and it collapsed on Abbey and another little girl. To his defense, it was raining and we worried about the possibility of a short, so Scott unplugged the generator. Too bad he didn't know how fast it would collapse or that our daughter was still inside! Luckily, neither child was scared...they were more angry that the bouncing had come to a temporary halt.

All in all, the party was wonderful and sharing with another family was pure genius (although it did confuse Abbey a bit, as you can see below).

Abbey: Today's my birthday?

Me: No, your birthday is May 29th. Today is just the day we're having a party for you and Sienna.

Abbey: Oh...it's Sienna's birthday today?

Me: No, Sienna's birthday is Monday.

Abbey: (looking very skeptical) So it's nobody's birthday today, but we're having a party?

LOL!
